 discussion will introduce the work of the Psychological Society of South
 Africa (PsySSA) African LGBTQIA+ Human Rights Project with an historic
 perspective and current priorities.  We highlight revised practice
 guidelines for working with the sexually and gender diverse in (South)
 Africa\, the current state of the science and relevance to the context of
 sexual orientation\, trans and gender diversity-related matters\, the
 anti-gender movement\, and an intersectional lens with a focus on township/
 rural black/ non-national African lesbian women.
